Community Overview

İSTÜN Computer Engineering Community

We are the students, graduates, and members of the Computer Engineering Department, Istanbul Health and Technology University. The idea for this community was first envisioned by Dr. Nazlı Tokatlı, the founding head of our Computer Engineering Department, who inspired us to create a space for showcasing projects, sharing knowledge, and building connections. Established in 2021, our community has since grown steadily expanding both our project portfolio and our membership while staying true to that founding vision.

On October 16, 2023, we organized a comprehensive seminar event titled “A Software Developer’s Roadmap” in collaboration with the IEEE ISTUN Student Branch and ISTUN Entrepreneurship Club. This event aimed to provide attendees, particularly those who are new to the field or seeking to advance their careers, with valuable insights into the dynamic world of software engineering. Our esteemed mentor, Murat Yücedağ, graced the occasion and delivered an engaging session covering various aspects of software engineering careers, self-development strategies, and insights into emerging technologies.

Throughout the seminar, Murat Yücedağ shared his wealth of experience and knowledge, guiding participants on how to navigate the diverse landscape of software engineering jobs. He emphasized the importance of continuous learning and self-improvement in staying relevant and competitive in the field. Moreover, he provided practical tips and resources for individuals to enhance their skills and expand their knowledge base.

One of the key highlights of the event was Murat Yücedağ’s in-depth discussion on ASP.NET Core, shedding light on its significance in modern web development and its role in shaping the future of technology. He delved into the nuances of ASP.NET Core, offering valuable insights into its features, advantages, and practical applications.

Additionally, Murat Yücedağ generously dedicated time to address the audience’s questions, providing personalized advice and solutions to their queries. His interactive approach fostered an engaging atmosphere, allowing participants to gain further clarity on various topics related to software engineering and technology.
